The Red Legend, by Luan Catori, book review

Today is the first review I have done on somebody else’s work,  I by no means call myself a professional writer, but if I have taken the time to read something recommended by the author themselves, as is often done on Twitter and the like, then it’s only fair and right that feedback should be given, therefore a review is in effect feedback, what you will read here will also be transferred to Amazon in way of feedback.

The Red Legend, by Luan Catori

Ok it’s not a big book and initially, I could of downloaded this via Amazon as mentioned in the previous article, but went for the tangible copy, the paper back version and ordered from Amazon.com, I’m in the UK and was told by Amazon it could take up to four weeks to arrive, as it was it arrive in two.

I had it at least three days before I actually sat down to read the short story in the book because I was so captivated by the layout and images Luan used throughout this offering.

But once I did it made every picture make sense and they fitted in beautifully with the text of the legend, I love unpredictability and that was what I got, at no point could I second guess what was going to happen next.

It is so unique and different too, making it stand out.

I for one hope that Luan will be doing more of these and will certainly be at the top of my list to include along with The Red Legend to grace my shelves for a long, long time.

I have also left a five star review for Luan on Amazon.com, under my online name Scruffyhippo

Wow, thanks a lot for your words, I really appreciate it, this is my first graphic novel, and the first of a trilogy, and is really hard to get noticed in the market this days due to the amount of writers and books out there, but finding a good soul that review your work and also like it´s harder, put it in your page and tweet it, and also being your first review for a book makes me feel special, thank you Peter, power to you!
